How I use sound during a Spinal Energetics session

spinal energetics

The sounds I make during your Spinal Energetics session aren't spontaneous - they’re specific and intentional tools used to facilitate energy movement and support the unwinding of tension patterns within your nervous system.

How I use sound as a practitioner:

Specific frequencies - different tones resonate with different areas of your body and nervous system.

Vibrational support - sound creates vibration that helps support the movement of energy.

Nervous system entrainment - your system naturally attunes to external rhythms, helping it find new patterns and re-organisation itself.

Energy re-direction - I use vocal tones to help guide energy where it needs to flow.

This is trained technique, not just intuitive expression (though intuition also plays a key role in this work). Specific sounds affect your nervous system, and utilising sound offers vibrational support for the client to create tangible change.

Sound helps unlock what touch alone couldn't access. You are also encouraged to express through sound if the need arises naturally.

During a session, you might notice me using:

  • Low & high frequencies to move energy

  • Music to facilitate change within your system

  • Strategic silence to create space for integration and exploration.

My voice becomes part of the container, working alongside touch to support your body's innate intelligence. However, this doesn't necessarily mean that I talk much throughout the session. Talking can pull you back into your thinking mind - the very place where you've likely already exhausted your options for processing what your body carries.

Sometimes it's the words we don't say that create the most powerful space for change. In the silence between sounds, in the pauses between touch, your nervous system finds room to express what's been waiting beneath the mental chatter.

The absence of conversation allows your body to lead the session entirely, without your mind trying to narrate, analyse or "make sense" of what's happening. This is where the deepest releases often occur - in the wordless space where your system can finally express its truth.

This is why every practitioner's approach feels different - we each bring our own vibrational signature to the work.
